The American Nursing Informatics Association (ANIA) provides a variety of modes to grow personally and professionally with education, certification preparation, and resources for informatics nursing practice.
ANIA Committees
Research and Evidence-Based Practice Committee
The Research and Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) Committee focuses on the advancement of research and EBP in nursing informatics by fostering interaction, discussion and collaboration among members and groups involved or interested in nursing informatics research and EBP activities. Responsibilities of the Research and EBP Committee include:
- Review research/EBP project applications submitted to ANIA
- Lead/participate in ANIA’s major research and EBP projects
- Collaborate with the Education Committee and the Editor of the Journal of Informatics Nursing
- Other duties as assigned by ANIA's Board of Directors
Education Committee
The Education Committee supports ANIA’s mission, strategic plan, and goals related to nursing informatics education and EBP. The Education Committee upholds the following functions:
- Evaluation of current educational activities and usefulness
- Recommendations of educational activities and initiatives for consideration by the ANIA Board of Directors
- Assessment of current literature to inform and maintain educational programs and projects
- Exploration and development of new educational programs and/or products in response to membership needs or Board requests
- Other duties as assigned by ANIA's Board of Directors
Research & Performance Improvement Membership Access Request
The intent of the Research and Performance Improvement Membership Access Request is for ANIA to evaluate whether it can support the studies or projects that are planned to involve ANIA members’ participation.
- The individual applicant, Principal Investigator (PI) or Project Director (PD), must be a member of ANIA. ANIA reserves the right to limit the number of instances membership is accessed (Ex: approved request includes pre and post study information gathering for the same study, using the same instrument).
- If approved, the applicant agrees to present findings to the ANIA membership through webinar, conference presentation, or Journal of Informatics Nursing article.
